The principle of the action
After applying the drug to the skin and hairline, its active components, not being absorbed into the systemic circulation, accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands, providing a long-term contact insectoacaricidal effect. Fipronil disrupts the passage of chlorine ions in the GABA-dependent ectoparasite receptors, blocks the transmission of nerve impulses and the activity of the nervous system, which leads to paralysis and death of arthropods. Yuvemon inhibits the juvenile hormone involved in the formation of chitin, disrupting the development cycle of insects at the stage of eggs and larvae. Benzyl benzoate, penetrating the chitinous cover and accumulating in the body of ticks in toxic concentrations, has an acaricidal effect on the larvae and adult parasites. Diethyltoluamide has repellent properties, protecting animals from the attack of blood-sucking dipterans.
